We recommend the following places for your stay in Toronto. They are all conveniently located. They are listed beginning with the least expensive option. Please note that the Canadian dollar is virtually on par with the US dollar at the moment.

The Bond Place Hotel
The Bond Place Hotel is a moderately-priced hotel located right beside the campus.  To receive the special rate, call 1-800-268-9390 and mention that you are participating at the “Varieties of Continental Thought and Religion”  conference. Arriving From Out of Town

Arriving by plane

If you are arriving by plane, you can take a car, a taxi or public transit from Pearson International Airport or the Toronto Island Airport (TIA). TIA is closer, but serves a limited number of cities.

There is a direct bus shuttle (Airport Express) from Pearson to the Delta Chelsea Hotel. The Delta is less than a minute from campus, and about a 5-7 minute walk to either the ILLC or Bond Hotel. One Way Fare for the shuttle = $23.95. Round Trip Fare = $39.95. Taxi from Pearson to campus is about $53.

Arriving by train
All trains arrive at Union Station. From there, you can either take a taxi to the campus or travel by subway:

  • Enter Union subway station
  • Catch the University-Yonge line subway northbound to Dundas Station (not to be confused with the Dundas West Station)
